House of the Day: Room to Play at NFL Hall of Famer's Mansion

There's no doubt about it, this newly listed mansion is baller. In more ways than one. First off, it's owned by NFL Hall of Famer Willie Roaf (the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints offensive tackle was inducted just this year), and it's also an exceptional property in its own right.

Nestled in the hills adjoining Orange and Villa Park, Calif., the colossal home affords miles upon miles of city and nature views. Capitalizing on its elevated location, the home's outdoor entertaining features take al fresco to a new level: We're talking stone-paved covered patios with fire-pits and a built-in grill, and a pool, spa and fountain -- all of which boast incredible vistas over northern Orange County.

The 6,500-square-foot home also features a two-story grand foyer, a wet bar, stacked stone fireplaces and a huge billiard room. The home is on sale for $2.95 million.

Mike Hickman of Seven Gables Real Estate has the listing.

Chiefs T Eric Winston describes the stress he felt after being released from the Houston Texans and having to relocate quickly

Winston felt like his "world turned upside down" after being cut from the Texans and having to relocate quickly. He was faced with debating whether to sell his house in Houston that his family had spent so much time making their own. He wondered whether he would buy or rent in Kansas City and how long he would be there for. He also wondered how his kids would adjust to their new environment.

Here at The Dingman Group, we help ease the stress players feel due to these exact situations. And we do so through an ongoing relationship as players may have to relocate more than once. Through our full service relocation process that includes selling an athlete's home, helping them buy or rent in their new city, as well as helping find schools for their kids, we enable players to relocate with ease.

Professional Athlete Getaway Homes: Dingman Group

"Athletes don’t work in offices, restaurants or big box stores like most of us, but that doesn’t mean that their lives are stress-free. They need a place to retreat to in the off-season, a sanctuary where they can escape from the anxiety that would plague anyone who’s paid millions of dollars to surf for a living."
